- Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics coursework — including subfields like biochemistry, genetics, statistics, and calculus. Type a course name and the BCPM box is pre-checked when it matches; you can always override it.
- Do psychology or sociology count as science for AMCAS?
- No. Behavioral and social sciences — psychology, sociology, anthropology — are classified AO (All Other), even when they feel science-heavy. This calculator's auto-suggest applies that rule.
- Is an A+ worth more than an A for AMCAS?
- No. AMCAS caps A+ at 4.0, unlike LSAC's 4.33. If your school awards A+, it will not raise your AMCAS GPA above 4.0.
